The people who bring SOS Savane to life share their stories
SOS Savane in their own words
Our work in the field relies on the commitment of many people. Watch the video to meet some of those who bring SOS Savane to life every day.
Every animal that comes into the centre has a story, often one of a snare or a capture. Our job is to care for it and set it free once it's ready. The day we release an animal back into the savanna, we know why we do this job.

We used to think vultures didn't matter. Thanks to the awareness sessions run by SOS Savane, we've learned that they clean up nature and protect our health. Now, in the village, we talk about them with our children.

Member of a local community
With support from SOS Savane, our group processes forest products better and sells them at a better price. We earn a living without cutting down the trees that feed us. Protecting the savanna also means protecting our income.

Promotion of NTFPs
During my assignment, I took part in wildlife monitoring and environmental education activities in schools. I discovered a passionate team that is very close to local communities. I'm leaving convinced that conservation and development can go hand in hand.
