The partners who make our work possible

Together for living savannas

Protecting savannas is a shared mission. To carry out its work in the field, SOS Savane relies on technical and financial partners, cooperation programmes and networks committed to nature. Their support helps fund projects, build the capacity of our team and of local communities, and share knowledge. Together, we develop sustainable solutions for biodiversity and for the people who live at the heart of these landscapes.

BENKADI

SOS Savane implements activities of the BENKADI project in the municipalities of Karimama and Malanville. Led by PASCiB with support from Woord en Daad, the project promotes ecosystem-based adaptation to the effects of climate change, in particular through technical support to fishers' and farmers' associations.

Small Initiatives Programme (PPI)

The PPI supports the organisational development of SOS Savane. Thanks to this support, the team took part in an experience-sharing visit to the NGO Anges Gardiens de la Nature in Burkina Faso in November 2025.

Fondation de France

Through its Resilient Ecosystems programme, the Fondation de France supports the FAABA YÉBÉREKOU project, dedicated to vulture conservation in northern Benin. This support has provided vehicles to the Water, Forests and Hunting services of Atacora, Borgou and Alibori.

AEWA

AEWA, the agreement on the conservation of African-Eurasian migratory waterbirds, is one of the networks SOS Savane is affiliated with. This affiliation ties in with the NGO's waterbird monitoring on Ramsar sites 1668 and 1669.

International Vulture Awareness Day

SOS Savane takes part in International Vulture Awareness Day. In 2026, together with the NGO Pépinière d'Afrique, it organised a day of sharing and mobilisation in the WAP transition zone, focusing on the results of the Hooded Vulture conservation project.

PISCCA – French Embassy in Benin

As part of the “Women and Environment 2024” programme funded by the French Embassy in Benin, SOS Savane carried out the project “Women entrepreneurs, champions of biodiversity conservation” in Tanguiéta. It set up a market-gardening and fish-farming site for the women of the Wankanéki group.

RBT-WAP

SOS Savane works in the peripheral transition zones of the W-Arly-Pendjari transboundary biosphere reserve. As a partner in the RBT-WAP GRANTS 2.0 programme, the NGO took part in the mid-term review workshop held in Natitingou in 2026.
